Youthful acidity plays up a palate of berries and savory flavors while velvety tannins build as acidity fades, carrying the flavors through to a long finish. Aged in Toasted French oak, this flexible wine drinks well now and will age beautifully for 20 years.
Beaucanon Estate 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely versatile food-friendly red wine. It goes well with cheeses, heavy sauces and/or red meats. The bitterness of the tannins can be counter-balanced by the use of bitter foods such as radicchio and endive, or with cooking methods that involve fire. As the wine ages and the tannins lessen, subtler and lighter dishes will pair better.

Produced and bottled at Beaucanon Estate in Napa Valley, the Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from premium grapes grown on Beaucanon’s rolling vineyards of High Valley, which produce smaller berries with more intense flavors. This wine is reminiscent of Bordeaux rich wines that require years of aging to mature.
